Who is Unusual Heat? He is a big, beautiful, black 21 year old stallion who stands at Harris Farms in Coalinga,
California. He was a fine racehorse who has had an even better career as a stallion.

Acclamation- 2011 California Horse of The Year

Acclamation wins the award for 2011 California Horse of the Year as voted on by the membership of the CTBA (February 13, 2012). The 6 year old
bay horse becomes the first Unusual Heat to win the award after 2 runners-up (Lethal Heat in 2008 and The Usual Q.T. in 2010). It marks the 9th
overall California Championship for the children of Unusual Heat and the 3rd for Acclamation (also 2011 Turf Horse and 2011 Older Male Awards).
Maui Mark with an impressive win taking a Santa Anita Claiming Race (February 11, 2012) and in process going over $200,000 in career earnings.
Romeo Royale scintillating in an Allowance Race at Santa Anita down the hill to notch his first win of 2012 (February 11, 2012).
Ribald does it again in a Sunland Park Allowance race for his third win of 2012 (February 10, 2012).
A cclamation wins the 2011 Eclipse Award for Older Male Horse. He also finishes 2nd for Horse of the Year and Turf Horse of The Year. The 6 year
old bay horse is owned by Buddy and Judy Johnston and The Hilvers Family. Acclamation becomes the first Unusual Heat to win an Eclipse Award.
Burns wins the 2011 Cal-bred 3 Year Old Male Championship. The Awards Ceremony will be held on February 13, 2012 at The Westin Pasadena.
Unusual Heat once again wins the California Sire Earnings and California Bred Sire Championships as he tops the $4 Million in progeny earnings
for 2011. He becomes the only California based stallion to do it in 4 different years, achieving both feats consecutively from 2008-2011. Unusual
Heat Also wins the 2011 Turf Earnings Championship as he earns that feat for the 8th consecutive year.
